Dyne Medical Group Shares Clinical Experience with URUS at Taiwan Urological Association Meeting, Unveils URUS 2.0
Discusses Demo, Training, and Research Collaboration with Key Local KOLs and Pursues Sales Expansion with Lite Med
Dyne Medical Group, a medical device company specializing in urology, is expanding its global urology business by strengthening its clinical network and business foundation in Taiwan, centered on its single-use digital flexible ureteroscope, URUS.
The company recently participated in the annual meeting of the Taiwan Urological Association (TUA) together with Lite Med, its local distributor in Taiwan, where it unveiled its next-generation single-use digital flexible ureteroscope, URUS 2.0, and discussed clinical and educational collaboration opportunities with leading urologists in Taiwan.

Professor Han-Kyu Chae of Kangdong Sacred Heart Hospital presents clinical experience with URUS during the TUA Lunch Symposium.
During the TUA meeting, Lite Med operated an exhibition booth centered on URUS 2.0, introducing the product to local physicians. Dyne Medical Group plans to build on the local business foundation established through the existing URUS and expand it with URUS 2.0, while continuing to increase clinical opportunities, including product demonstrations and training sessions that allow physicians to experience the device firsthand.
At the Lunch Symposium held during the event, Dr. Hsu served as moderator, while Professor Han-kyu Chae of Kangdong Sacred Heart Hospital, along with Dr. Yen CH and Dr. Lee HY, shared their clinical experience with URUS and discussed its key design features.
The presentations focused on clinical experience with URUS 1.0 in actual urinary stone procedures, particularly its 6 o’clock working-channel configuration and its application in clinical practice. The speakers shared their experience using the device during actual procedures, including access to lower pole stones, instrument manipulation, and bilateral renal applications.
This design philosophy has also been carried over to the next-generation URUS 2.0. While retaining the 6 o’clock working-channel configuration of URUS 1.0, URUS 2.0 incorporates a curved “Smile Digital Tip” at the distal end, differentiated from conventional circular outlets and straight-edged distal-tip designs.
The new design is intended to maintain the structural advantages of the existing URUS while further improving its flow characteristics by enabling irrigation fluid to be distributed across a wider area.
Dyne Medical Group also expanded its clinical network with key Endourology KOLs in Taiwan through its participation in the TUA meeting. The company met with leading local physicians, including Dr. Tai, Dr. Yu-Chao Hsu, Dr. Hsiang-Ying, and Dr. Yen, to discuss opportunities for clinical collaboration, including URUS 2.0 demonstrations and training, as well as potential joint research and academic publications.

Going forward, the company plans to continue clinical activities based on its Endourology network in Taiwan while expanding research and educational programs connecting physicians in Korea and Taiwan.
From a business perspective, Dyne Medical Group also plans to work with its local partner, Lite Med, to pursue sales of URUS 2.0 in Taiwan and further expand its local business foundation.
Logan Cha, Senior Manager of Overseas Sales at Dyne Medical Group, said, “In overseas markets, it is important not only to supply products, but also to continuously create opportunities for local physicians to experience the products firsthand and verify their clinical value. In Taiwan, we will continue to expand the clinical and business foundation for URUS 2.0 through collaboration with Lite Med and leading local physicians.”
Cha added, “Dyne Medical Group will continue to expand the product development and clinical capabilities it has accumulated in stone treatment into overseas markets and strengthen the global business foundation of its Urology Platform by connecting products, clinical expertise, and partnerships.”
